Coyote of the Month Coyote of the Month

Andrea, San Antonio

Andrea is a true triple threat—an exceptional bartender, energetic dancer, and inspiring teammate. She gives 100% every shift, creates memorable guest experiences, and leads by example, making her an invaluable part of the team. On top of all of that, she is a former United States Marine, who served this country proudly!
Hometown: I was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, but my home town is Gilroy, California.
What’s the most fun about your job at Coyote Ugly?
Making memories with the customers! I love it when customers say, “Thank you for today, I definitely needed it!” or “I haven’t had this much fun in years!” Seeing a customer come in and act like they are in the shadows then eventually become the center of the party is probably one of my favorite parts in each shift. Having fun and getting paid at the same time is also a plus.
What makes you a good Coyote?
I always give 100% every shift. Someone once told me, “You’re only as strong as your weakest link,” and one day it clicked. I’m always willing to help and teach what I have learned during the years I’ve been a Coyote. But I am also humble enough to know where I’m weak, and I’m always willing to learn something new to be a better Coyote. I don’t like to be complacent. I strive to be better each shift.
How long have you been a bartender?
I’ve been a bartender for about 4 years.
What do you like to do on your off time?
I’m spending it with my two boys. I’m very family oriented, so visiting family in other cities is usually on my agenda. And if I have extra downtime, you can catch me drawing and listening to music or sleeping.
What is your favorite type of music?
I definitely listen to everything, but R&B would have to be my number one. And if I’m in the mood of singing my heart out, it would be any song from Bruno Mars.
Do you think the movie is anything like the real thing?
Definitely! People come to see the water shows and the signature dances, but nothing can beat the real thing. When ladies are on the bar, they are literally living the movie.
Why should a potential customer come and visit you?
You’ll have the time of your life, I’ll make sure of it. You never know what trick I’ll do and probably end up on my face. You never know what will come out of my mouth to make you laugh. Shoot… I don’t know either, so come visit and we’ll find out together!
Do you have any advice for women who want to be a Coyote?
Be yourself, don’t try to fit in. Everyone is unique in their own way. Being a Coyote is definitely not easy, but don’t let that scare you. We are a family, and Coyotes are taught to bring their own spin to it. Be a sponge, and you HAVE to WANT it.
