Lolo, Memphis

Lauren, aka Lolo, has been a Coyote for years, and she just keeps getting better!

She is an unbelievable singer and entertainer. As a theater major, she performs in plays all over the United States, so she is no stranger to putting on a show. Every time Lolo works, the customers absolutely love her. When she sings, the bar goes crazy! Lolo is a hard worker, very dedicated, and loves being a Coyote.

Hometown: Sugar Land, Texas

What’s the most fun about your job at Coyote Ugly?

Undoubtedly the dancing! I’m afraid if I ever tried to bartend anywhere else I’d still be shaking it.

What makes you a good Coyote?

My history with performing on the stage is what makes me very comfortable on the bar. It’s also because I enjoy what I do. I think that makes a difference in any job.

How long have you been a bartender?

Little over 3 years

What do you like to do on your off time?

I love to read, currently consuming some C.S. Lewis. Finding new hole-in-the-wall bars around Memphis. And of course doing any kind of Theatre I can get my hands on.

What is your favorite type of music?

Classic Rock gets me every time.

Do you think the movie is anything like the real thing?

In certain ways, yes. For instance, every girl I’ve worked with, including myself, is pursuing her dreams and finding herself. Also, the high-energy atmosphere portrayed in the film is what makes this job so addictive.

Why should a potential customer come and visit you?

The bars on the famous Beale Street like to use live musicians and performers. At Coyote you get a bartender, singer, dancer, and (definitely) a character all wrapped up in one.

Do you have any advice for women who want to be a Coyote?

Just because you like booze doesn’t mean you should be handling it. Being a Coyote takes a ton of endurance, patience, and the ability to think on one’s feet.
