CJ

CJ is an absolute powerhouse behind the bar! She makes bartending look effortless and wins over customers with her quirky personality. She knows how to get on the mic and get the crowd excited about whatever is happening – game, dance, or just the fact that it’s the freakin’ weekend. With a lot of newer staff here, CJ has been that solid Coyote that is unwaveringly consistent and shows up each weekend ready to rock it out.

What’s the most fun about your job at Coyote Ugly?
The most fun part of working at Coyote Ugly is creating moments with the women who walk in. There are always going to be people excited to get on the bar and dance, but watching the girl who may be a little bit shy or afraid finally go up and have the time of her life is so rewarding! It’s so fun to watch people have fun!

What makes you a good Coyote?
I am a good Coyote because I try my best to balance doing the work of a bartender with throwing a party. I love the shifts where we are non-stop pumping out drinks just as much as the ones where we have time to joke around and play flip cup!

How long have you been a bartender?
3 years

What do you like to do on your off time?
In my free time, I love to walk through central park! So many horses!

What is your favorite type of music?
If you know me, you know I love Doja Cat!

Do you think the movie is anything like the real thing?
I do think the bar has moments when it’s like the movie. I mean, I even got to cut off a man’s ponytail! I would say where it is different is that we focus more on creating memories with the people who come in.

Why should a potential customer come and visit you?
If you want to have a good time, you had better come and see me and the NYC Coyotes!

Do you have any advice for women who want to be a Coyote?
My advice would be that you never know if you are going to be good at something until you try! There are so many things that I have been asked to do that are out of my comfort zone and succeeding in a new environment has really shown myself that I am capable of more than I thought! We are here to empower the women that walk in just as much as the staff we work so hard with on every shift!
