When it rains it pours. I feel like I am insane today. Mike new gm in Miami is in the hospital for an ear infection. I feel bad cause I said to Chantel " why does someone have to go into the hospital for an ear infection ? You're fucking kidding me!" Daniel called me and said that Michael is in really bad shape , infact one side of his face is all swollen. " Sorry Michael, I'm an asshole I hope you get better."
So much drama at these bars. I got a doosie of a letter today from a lawyer. I can't lie, I started laughing outloud when I read it.
I walked into the New Orleans bar today and asked Travis if there was a Halloween party? " Yes Lil" " So Travis are customers supposed to figure this out with their psychic abilities since there is not one sign or flyer in the bar promoting this event?"

Went to the Miami bar last night. It was slow but I will tell you Yazzy and Meghan were awesome. They really care and were never low energy because it was slow. I Love that. Mike is the new GM of Miami good luck. And thanks Nathalie and Alex for helping so much.
I have to bake for Jackson tonight. Baking is not my thing. It will taste good but I have never been good at the presentation. Of course Jacob tells me " you need to create haloween cookies" Back off Mr Artist. My son will like my cookies even though they don't look cool!!!
I know what's going to happen I will make 4 batches tonight and then go out and buy some!

I am finally feeling better today. I think I finally have my car situation taken car of. Hopefully my car will be fixed by next week. A lot of craziness going on at the bars.
Forgot to mention that the Charlotte bar rocked last weekend when I went to Charlotte. Those girls are always on point. Same with the bouncers. I felt bad that I was not fun that night but I was doing a lot of traveling and I was tired. I am hoping to go to Denver in the next few weeks. The bar is doing so well and I think I should show my face there.
Jackson is turning 8 this weekend. My god time flies. My little boy is growing up. This week is my 6 year anniversary living in New Orleans. When I fly into NY and take a cab from the airport into the city I still have that feeling of being home even though I haven't lived there for 6 years. But I lived in Manhattan for so long I'm sure I will always feel that for NYC.

I have been told that CMT wants to renew the tv series for season 3 but they want to make big changes. Let me guess ? They want a mix between " Celebrity Fit Club" meets " Survivorman". Actually now that I think about it I might watch that show. Picture this , pre Jenny Craig Kirstie Ally, is dropped off in the outback and she has to flair, dance, and sing her way to civilization where she then becomes a real Coyote.
That would be hysterical!!

Let me tell you my last 24 hours. My car key was lost. (No spare because that was lost 2 months ago. ) Looked for it all afternoon. My car was infront of Jacob's house. I called mercedes tele-aid which is supposedly like On Star. Well it's not as good as On Star so they don't have the ability to turn the car on from a remote location.I had to leave the car at Jacob's house thinking I would get it towed to Mercedes on Monday to rekey the ignition. This morning jacob's roomate calls and says " I guess you found the key?" No. " Well the car is gone" I had to keep my cool because Jackson had his little friend sleep over and I did not want them to see me upset. I call the cops. " My car was stolen" I gave them the details. The woman on the phone said she would give me a police report number. " Aren't you going to send a policeman by to get details and look for clues about the car?" " No we don't usually do that" After throwing a fit a policeman shows up at my house." Long story short. They find my car in front of someones house. The cop calls me and tells me the location of my car. " Are you going to questions the people in the house? Did you find who stole it?" The cop's response was " I found your car, my responsibilty is over" " Sir are you going to just leave my car there?" His response " Yes" " Can you please wait ten minutes until I can get someone there?" I then send Jacob there. When Jacob gets there he asks the ploiceman if he was going to interview any of the residents to try and find the theif. " NO" I could not believe it. I had to get the car towed just to make sure it was safe. What a fucking day!!! I am happy that my car was recovered but I am so pissed off I can't seem to calm down. Jackson's little friend was worried that the bad guys were going to come to our house. What a day!!!

What a week. I flew to Raleigh with Jackson to visit my family. Saturday I went to nascar in charlotte . Sunday I went back to Raleigh to get Jackson. Monday we flew home. Tuesday I had to drive 3 hours to meet the naturapath. And the Wednesday I had to go to Toronto. I just got back today. I am beat!

Most of the bars did great last night. I am very pleased. I am off to Charlotte. I will be at Nascar tomorrow night. I'll be in Toronto next week. I need to attend a community board meeting. I was asked last week exactly how are the community board meetings? Basically a group of residents yell at you for a couple of hours and you have to sit there and take it.
I have never been to Toronto. I'm excited about visiting. I heard it is a beautiful city

Denver is rocking!
This weekend Jackson had a birthday party at a roller skating rink. This was his first time ever rollerskating. I helped him out a little at the beginning and then he was intent to keep trying to go round and round the rink no matter if he fell or not. His little friends would fall and exit the rink to their parents. Not Jackson. He just kept on getting up and trying to get better. He never stopped picking himself up and trying some more. He didn't need me or any friends to accompany him in the rink. In one moment I watched him and realized that my son was going to be successful in life. I can't explain it but I felt a sense of calm knowing that his character will drive him forward .
We ended up going skating the next day as well. I think my butt still hurts from a huge fall I took.
Things are good today. I am feeling calm.
2008 calendars should be arriving at the bars I can't wait to see one.

HA HA! I knew someone would finally say that something was wrong with me. I took a few tests for a naturapath last week. Today my hair test results came in and they indicated that my body is not metabolizing calcium properly and I also have a very high percentage of metals in my blood. HAHA I can't wait to tell my general physician because he always said that I was fine physically but perhaps a psychiatrist might have a different conclusion. ( He was joking of course, or was he?)
Hot damn Nashville and San Antonio did great yesterday. A big shout out to Denver. They have been showing some really great numbers. ( cross my fingers. No jinx)

San Antonio wrote in their manager's log about a guy who calls himself " the gravitating cowboy" . Supposedly he really did gravitate. I can't wait to hear what Shawna , GM, sees when she reviews the security tape from last night.

Thank you San Antonio and nashville for having good nights. The Florida bars are doing horribly right now.
I want to give a special thanks to Big E, Jelvis, Caitlin and the Memphis staff. Judith's ( GM) daughter had a very bad accident so she has been at the hospital pretty much from sun up to sun down. The staff has really stepped up and helped the bar out. Thank you so much. I am happy to say that Judith's daughter is doing so much better. Prayers really do help.
I would also like to tell people that we are accepting applications for GM for a few locations. I would love some new resumes. Do not send them if you don't have previous management experience.

Just heard about a few New orleans girls bitching to Marshall and Daniel about the New orleans manager and the bar in general. Daniel was concerned a bit about our head bartender, Brooke, because she said a few very negative things and claimed she was being overworked. Funny how she forgot to tell Daniel that she received a $2,000 bonus a few weeks ago. And the other things she said happened to be things I addressed with the GM already.
Respect is everything to me. If there is a problem have the respect to go to the source and in turn we will respect you. I think what pisses me off the most is that the same night one of the Austin girls, Esther, was in the New orleans bar and pulled a stunt meant to humiliate Tara, one of the New orleans girls. I backed Tara up. I felt Esther was completely out of line going into someone else's house and trying to disrespect them. But I guess Tara did not mention that we have always tried to back her up.
Things should not be this hard. I am very proud that you can work at one of my bars and in their own ways they are like little families. What is upsetting is that the girls use this familial atmosphere to bitch. It is family but it is a job. You have a problem at work then speak to the manager. If you have a problem with the manager then speak to his/her boss.
First Denver, then Memphis now New Orleans. ( Not forgetting the fucking bullshit that is going on in the San Antonio bar) Well these girls have a way of really bringing you back down to earth. The sad part of all of this is that Saturday they were so nice to me just to start shit .
For the right price all of this can be yours! At that point I will invest as a silent investor in other projects. Just send me a check every month and someone else can hear all the bullshit!

This weekend I went to Katie's( AM Austin) wedding. As luck would have it she held her wedding in New orleans. She looked beautiful.
Then we all went to the New orleans bar where they gave me a customized pool cue. It is so beautiful. Such a thoughtful gift.
A lot more happened but I don't have the energy to write about it.
Thank you San antonio for having a descent night last night. Nashville sucked last night. I always open nashville's log last thinking it will be the highest hence making me feel good. lately San antonio has been beating nashville. Also the Nashville check average was horrendous so they are definitely doing something wrong.
